DeiSaku: Too Close For Comfort

Haha, yes. I have been infected.

After reading the story “Somewhere I Have Never Travelled, Gladly Beyond,” I was absolutely hooked onto this coupling!

I still love Kakasaku though! They’re just as awesome. =] But for now, I think I’ll try to catch up with this fandom a little longer...because they totally deserve more love and attention!

I never liked Deidara in the beginning, only because he posed as a threat to Kakashi. XD But...after hearing his English voice actor, (who in my opinion has the HOTTEST VOICE in English dubbing XD And is also the English voice actor for Axel from KH2 ) I started to find his character a little bit more interesting. And when I read the reasons why people found Deidara to be a fitting partner for Sakura, I began to like him. Little by little. Hehe.

Then before I knew it, Deidara became my second favourite ninja! After Kakashi of course. XD I mean, he has those hand mouths and he loves exploding things. Hehe, he loves art! Maybe not the same way as you and I, but he loves and appreciates it nonetheless. He’s just way too adorable to resist. (And his laugh in English is so KUH-YOOT. O_O)

Anyway, this picture is based on a scene from “Somewhere I Have Never Travelled, Gladly Beyond.”

I wasn’t too sure about what they were wearing at the time, but that’s how I imagined it. I hope I didn’t butcher her work or anything! XD I was just so excited about the story, I had to draw something. And this little scene gave me plenty of inspiration. =]

As they looked at each other, their faces at a proximity that was rare for them, Sakura couldn’t help but notice his features. His eyes were a warm shade of blue, rather than icy like Ino’s, and his nose was almost perfectly straight, oddly well-formed and aesthetic for that of a man. Glancing quickly down at his mouth, she even noticed that his smile was very slightly crooked -- something that she thought suited him well and was so very Deidara.

He was still smiling while waiting for her to say something to his earlier comment, although his expression had faltered for a moment when Sakura had glanced down at his mouth.

They’re supposed to look a little more dirty and ragged, but I didn’t want to do that to my first DeiSaku artwork. I know there are plenty of mistakes; like Deidara's left hand, his shoes and Sakura's missing hand, XD etc, etc. But I think overall it turned out decent. So I'm happy. ^^

Hehe, this is my tribute for Wyntermute’s DeiSaku story. =] Hope you like it!

Anyway, if you don’t like the pairing, don’t complain or flame.

Other than that, I’d love comments. ^^
